To szklany taras widokowy, zawieszony nad tysiąc metrową przepaścią. Tylko dla osób o mocnych nerwach 😉 Z Aiguille du Midi warto też wybrać się na przejażdżkę kolejką gondolową nad lodowcem du Géant do Pointe Helbronner we Włoszech. Ta atrakcja dostępna jest tylko od czerwca do szczycie znajduje się też restauracja, sklep z pamiątkami i punkt medyczny. Niestety wysokość robi swoje i często turyści muszą korzystać z pomocy lekarskiej. Jak wiecie zawsze staramy się wykorzystać podróże do nauczenia się czegoś nowego. Podczas wyprawy w Alpy przekonaliśmy się, że im wyżej tym ciężej się oddycha. Wraz ze wzrostem wysokości powietrze rozrzedza się, a do naszych płuc trafia mniejsza liczba cząsteczek tlenu. W efekcie zwiększa się liczba i głębokość oddechów. Pokonanie dużej wysokości w krótkim czasie może spowodować zawroty i bóle głowy czy ogólne właśnie na takie objawy zwykle narzekają globtroterkową relację ze szczytu i niesamowite widoki na Alpy 🙂Aiguille du Midi. Informacje praktyczne i ceny kolejką jest możliwy w przypadku dzieci powyżej 3 roku życia, ale zalecany jest od 5 lat. Na pewno warto wstać wcześnie rano i zaplanować wjazd kolejką w miarę wcześnie. Unikniecie wtedy stania w kolejce i sporej liczby wycieczek zorganizowanych. Nie zapomnijcie zabrać ze sobą okularów słonecznych i kremu z wysokim filtrem UV. Dlatego zdecydowanie warto mieć ze sobą polary, kurtki oraz czapki i rękawiczki. Pamiętajcie też o obuwiu – idealne to buty do wycieczek górskich. Na wycieczkę zaplanujcie około 2 – 3 na kolejkę (w obie strony) kosztuje 63 euro dla osoby dorosłej i 53,60 euro dla dziecka w wieku 5 -14 lat. Planując wyjazd kolejką na Igłę Południa nie zapomnij o ciepłych ubraniach! Temperatura latem może spaść nawet do 0 stopni Celsjusza. Pamiętaj także, że na takich wysokościach ciężko oddycha się osobom starszym. Powietrze jest o wiele rzadsze, a każdy wysiłek, nawet przejście kilku stopni jest naprawdę trudne.
